How long does it take to install my new overhead storage racks?

Our installers at CDR Overhead Storage Racks can normally install your custom designed racks in about an hour per rack. We also offer a flexible installation schedule, typically within a few days if needed.

What height are the racks installed at?

The storage racks can be installed at the height most suitable for your garage. They can also be installed in both finished and unfinished garages.

What materials are used to build the overhead storage racks and how much weight can they hold?

Our racks are made with the strongest heavy-duty commercial grade powder-coated steel. They are available in both white and gray. Our overhead storage racks also include heavy duty C-channel beams for added strength and durability. The decks of our garage racks are designed with triple wire and bolted to the frames. The fastener hardware is all rated to hold 2000 lbs. or higher.

Is there a warranty?

Of course! CDR Overhead Storage Racks protects each one of our systems with a limited lifetime warranty. In addition, our expert installers are professionally licensed, bonded and insured.

What makes your racks stronger than others?

First and foremost, our racks are made with at least 40% more steel than our competitors. This means 40% more capacity. Our storage racks can withstand up to 1000 lbs., where most of our competitors are rated at 600 lbs. With more frame members including 3 supports which tie the frame together, the result is increased frame stability. We also use triple wire, and an anti-shake deck system that bolts to the frame.

Is overhead storage difficult to install?

No, however, your garage storage racks should be installed only by experts who are fully knowledgeable of our system. If you are going to place hundreds of pounds of storage above your head or even above your vehicles, you want to be confident that it is done properly and safely. No worry, you have come to the right place! Our installers are the very best in the industry.

Do I need an estimate before scheduling an installation appointment?

Yes and no! We have conveniently included our rates on this site. Our rates are all-inclusive, including material, taxes and labor*. We have also included our most common design configurations to help you make decisions that best suit your needs. However, you should also know that our "installers" are also "designers" so if you need help deciding how many just let us know.

Does everything have to be moved from the garage?

No. We use a ladder in the 4 x 8 area under the rack. If the rack will be installed against a wall, you may leave one row of boxes or shelves against that wall.
